Riyadh, Mar. 22, 2021, SPA -- The Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) Virtual Dialogue will be organized by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) on April 7, 2021 under the theme “Cyberspace: what now, what next?“. This virtual dialogue will feature prominent international experts and thought leaders, senior decision-makers from government bodies, inter-governmental organizations and international companies in addition to a number of high-level speakers from academia and civil society. The virtual dialogue will address the prominent cybersecurity-related challenges and modern risks witnessed by the world as well as the impact of COVID-19 on vital sectors of cybersecurity including health, energy and finance. In addition, the dialogue will derive the key lessons learned and discuss the collaboration and cooperation needed for a safer cyberspace. The dialogue will be held within an increasing global context where cybersecurity is evolving as a priority topic, periodically being faced by cyber threats and amidst all the huge efforts undertaken by the Kingdom to enhance its cybersecurity posture towards a safe and reliable cyberspace that empowers growth and prosperity, while tapping the economic development and unleashing investment opportunities supported by the rapid technological change in the digital world of today. This virtual dialogue builds on the success achieved by the GCF, held in February 2020 during the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's presidency of G20 for 2020. Over 3,500 participants and more than 140 speakers, including policymakers and executives from global technology companies, attended the event. Two Global Initiatives were instituted during the forum by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The first Global Initiative aims to protect children in the cyberspace, whereas the second is targeting women’s empowerment in cybersecurity. -- SPA 21:24 LOCAL TIME 18:24 GMT 0038 www.spa.gov.sa/w1528895
