UAE planning to launch its first Emirati-developed satellite in October, announcement says

Dubai, Dhu-AlHijjah 18, 1439, Aug 29, 2018, SPA -- Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center fixed the 29th of October 2018 for launching into orbit Khalifasat, the first Emirati-developed satellite, which will transported from the UAE for launching from the ground platform of Tanigashima Space Center in Japan, bringing to three the number of MBRSC-owned satellites following Dubaisat I and Dubaisat II. Khalifasat is a highly-skilled engineering icon the production of which started following the announcement in December 2013 by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, to launch Khalifasat project which was completely designed, developed and manufactured at Mohammed bin Rashed Space Center by a UAE engineering and technician team at the center.
