Chelsea will play Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals and Manchester City will face Bayern Munich after Friday’s draw gave the Premier League’s two remaining clubs among the hardest possible tasks. The teams that progress from those ties will play each other in the semi-finals, raising the possibility of an all-Premier League meeting for a spot in the final, which will be played in Istanbul. Madrid got past Liverpool 6-2 on aggregate in the last round, after a 5-2 win at Anfield, and the holders are trying to win the competition for a 15th time. Bayern, six-times winners, beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 on aggregate to progress and are the club where City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, was in charge from 2013-16. Bayern are top of the Bundesliga, seven points ahead of Leipzig, whom City defeated 7-0 this week with the help of five goals from Erling Haaland, to secure an 8-1 aggregate win. In the other ties, Internazionale will face Benfica and Milan will play Napoli. Chelsea will play away in their first leg next month, whereas City start at home. João Cancelo, on loan at Bayern from City, is eligible to face his parent club. The first legs are scheduled for 11-12 April and the second for 18-19 April. Manchester United will play Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, with the first leg at Old Trafford. The winners will face Juventus or Sporting, who knocked out Arsenal on Thursday, for a place in the final. Sevilla are 13th in La Liga, only two points above the relegation zone, and got past Fenerbahce 2-1 on aggregate in the last round. The competition’s record six-times winners have been coached by Jorge Sampaoli since last October. Bayer Leverkusen will take on Union Saint-Gilloise and Feyenoord will face Roma in the other quarter-finals. West Ham will face Gent in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League. If they get through they will play Anderlecht or AZ Alkmaar.
