The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced that the total issued permits since the launch of the Entertainment Gate reached to more than 11,400 permits in different activities and events. The GEA said in an infographic that the Entertainment Gate issued 361 permits during last March. Regarding the various fields of activities for which permits were issued, GEA stated that 122 permits were issued for organizing entertainment activities, and about 100 permits were issued for live displays in restaurants and cafes. Sixty-eight permits were issued for holding entertainment shows, GEA said, adding that there are 18 licenses issued for operating the entertainment facilities, 19 licenses issued for entertainment centers, 17 licenses issued for managing and developing the artistic and entertainment talents. The GEA said that about 12 accreditation certificates were issued for organizing and managing crowds, as well as 5 accreditation certificates for selling tickets for entertainment activities. It is noteworthy that the Entertainment Gate has been established to act as a digital platform that facilitates procedures for investors and companies working in the sector to apply for licenses, permits and accreditation certificates for specialized activities and services. It has also been set up to enhance the Authority’s role in organizing and developing the entertainment sector, support its infrastructure and connect the gate with various relevant government institutions.
