Citizens and residents who are living in Saudi Arabia have spent SR12 billion in a week, from 26th of March until the 1st of April, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has announced. Spending was made through 150.2 million transactions through points of Points of Sale (PoS), including SR1.2 billion on restaurants and cafes, and SR2.1 billion on food and beverages. SAMA revealed, during publishing its weekly report on PoS, that people spent SR1.4 billion on clothes and shoes, SR317.1 million, SR317.1 million on construction and building materials. The report said, people in addition spent SR152.5 million on education, SR256.3 million on e-devices, SR730.3 million on gas stations, and SR844.2 million on health. People in Saudi Arabia spent about SR348.3 million on furniture, SR322 million on hotels, SR1.5 billion on public utilities, SR251.9 million on jewelry, and SR1.3 billion on various goods and services. This is alongside SR295.3 million on entertainment and culture, SR126.3 million on communications, and SR764.3 million on transport, while the number of other operations amounted to SR23.2 million, with a value of SR2 billion.
