The Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) has welcomed a decision by the UN Human Rights Council to adopt a draft resolution proposed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on denouncing religious fanaticism, discrimination, and violence worldwide. HRC said that this draft resolution is a continuation of global efforts to put an end to extremism, intolerance, and hate speech, as well as to enhance coexistence and peace. The commission said that the unanimously adopted resolution included facts that should be implemented on the ground, mainly undermining religious hate, refraining from attaching terrorism to any religion, and respecting religious and cultural diversity and dialogue among followers of different faiths and cultures. — SPA
