JEDDAH: President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo performed the Umrah pilgrimage in the holy city of Makkah in western Saudi Arabia, the state-run SPA news agency reported on Tuesday. Upon his arrival at the Grand Mosque, he was received by a number of officials of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and the special force for the Grand Mosque’s security. Earlier on Tuesday, he arrived in the coastal city of Jeddah, where he was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Badr bin Sultan, deputy governor of Makkah, and other Saudi officials.
