The Arab League Council will hold an emergency meeting at the permanent representatives level on Sunday to discuss the situation in Sudan. The meeting, which will be chaired by Egypt, is convened following a joint request made by Saudi Arabia and Egypt, according to Hussam Zaki, assistant secretary general of the Arab League. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Saturday the Kingdom’s deep concern over the state of escalation and military clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan.
