Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah published two pictures of the Grand Mosque, comparing the crowds in the mosque 3 years back. The first picture was taken in 1441 AH and the second in 1444 AH, commenting "From grief to relief." Al-Rabiah said: "With the pandemic in decline, Muslims have swiftly returned to the Two Holy Mosques," praising the efforts of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their interest in the comfort, safety, and service of pilgrims. The first picture showed the circumambulation court completely empty of worshipers and Umrah performers in the year 1441 AH during the outbreak of COVID-19, while the second picture showed the Grand Mosque completely filled with worshipers and Umrah performers, and all the areas around it. It is noteworthy that the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques revealed on Tuesday that the Great Mosque in Makkah received more than 2.6 million worshipers and pilgrims during the night of the 27th of Ramadan.
