Saudi Arabia to mark Eid Al-Fitr on Friday, April 21, as the Shawwal moon has been sighted on Thursday. According to the sighting committee in the Tumair observatory, the Shawwal crescent moon has been sighted, meaning Ramadan will only last 29 days this year. The Royal Court issued a statement announcing that the Crescent Department of the Supreme Court decided that Friday, Shawwal 01, 1444 Hijri, corresponding to April 21, 2023, is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. On this occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the Supreme Court congratulates Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince, all citizens, residents, and Muslims, praying to Allah Almighty to accept the Muslims" fasting, night prayers and all the good deeds, and to preserve the Kingdom"s security, stability and prosperity.
