UAE, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya Hail Saudi Role in Evacuating Nationals from Sudan

The United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Yemen and Libya praised on Monday the role played by Saudi Arabia in evacuating their citizens and other foreign nationals from Sudan in wake of the ongoing clashes between the military and Rapid Support Forces. UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan telephoned his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to convey his country’s gratitude. Caretaker Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib also telephoned Prince Faisal to thank the Saudi leadership for facilitating the evacuation of Lebanese nationals from Sudan and the warm reception they were accorded in Jeddah ahead of their return to their homes. The Libyan Foreign Ministry praised Saudi Arabia’s role in the evacuation of 105 Libyans from Port Sudan to Jeddah. The Yemeni embassy in Khartoum expressed its gratitude to the Kingdom for helping evacuate its nationals from Sudan. Saudi Arabia kicked off the evacuations of its citizens and nationals from other countries from Sudan at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Mohammed, bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
