GCC chief praises Saudi Arabia's efforts in evacuating people from Sudan

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Mohamed Al Budaiwi has praised the great diplomatic and logistical role played by Saudi Arabia, who exerted efforts to help evacuate Saudi citizens as well as nationals of GCC, brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to diplomats and international officials. He expressed thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, underlining his gratitude for their instructions and direct follow-up on the evacuation process. The evacuation process was conducted smoothly for the evacuees arrived safely in the city of Jeddah and have had all their needs met ahead of leaving to their home nations. Al Budaiwi also expressed has appreciation for the great diplomatic efforts made by Saudi Arabia and the countries of the GCC in resolving the Sudanese crisis by opening channels of communication with the conflicting parties to reach a comprehensive and peaceful solution within the context of the political framework agreement. Furthermore, the GCC secretary general reiterated the call for the conflicting parties in Sudan to stop military operations at the earliest, exercise maximum restraint, avoid escalation, prioritize the interests of the brotherly Sudanese people, and ensure their security and stability. Al-Budaiwi offers condolences to Egypt Al-Budaiwi also expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Egypt on the death of the Assistant Administrative Attaché at the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum. He was on his way to the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum to follow up on the procedures of the evacuations of the Egyptian citizens. He urged the parties to the conflict to put an end to military operations as soon as possible, exercise the greatest restraint possible and prevent further escalation.
