212 evacuees arrive in Jeddah from Sudan via His Majesty the Kings' ship Abha

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the arrival of 41 Saudi citizens and 171 nationals of friendly countries in Jeddah from Sudan. The 212 evacuees have been transported on Monday from Port Sudan to Jeddah on His Majesty the Kings" ship (Abha), the Ministry said. It revealed that the nationalities of the 171 people are from: Afghanistan, Philippines, Comoros, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Madagascar, UK, Syria, US and Africa. The Kingdom has been keen to provide all the main needs for the foreign evacuees in preparation for their departure to their countries. With the arrival of this batch, the total number of people who have arrived in Jeddah since Saudi Arabia started the evacuation operations from the war-torn Sudan reached 5,409, of which 225 are Saudi citizens. It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia has evacuated 5,185 foreigners belonging to 102 nationalities during the evacuation operations from Sudan, which began more than a week ago. The operation comes in continuation of the evacuation efforts made by Saudi Arabia under the directives of the Kingdom"s leadership.
