The aim of the Emirati initiative, carried out through the Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Foundation and the Emirates Red Crescent, is to provide food to alleviate the suffering of refugees who arrive at the border with Chad. The aid effort is in keeping with directives from the leadership of the UAE to provide assistance to the people of Sudan and reflects the country’s desire to help and support communities worldwide in times of need, the agency said.
