JEDDAH: A luxury exhibition in Jeddah is showcasing limited-edition pieces and luxury collections from more than 120 jewelry houses from 15 countries across the globe. Jeddah International Luxury Week kicked off on Monday at the Jeddah Hilton with the participation of renowned jewelry houses, such as Charles Oudin, Etho Maria, Ferrari Firenze, George Hakim Jewelers, Hasbani, Luca Carati, Nafees, Pearl Biography, Renée Jewellers, Scavia, Sicis Jewels, Silvia Furmanovich and Tijoree Jewellery, among others. Krayem Al-Enazi, president of the National Committee for Precious Metals and Gemstones and the Federation of Saudi Chambers, inaugurated the exhibition and toured the pavilions, where he was briefed on the most prominent collections of jewelry, watches and rare gemstones displayed by participating Saudi and international companies. As the event coincides with wedding season in the Kingdom, a wide selection of sought-after bridal sets are also being showcased. Highlight pieces include a platinum ring from Moussaieff Jewellers with a 5.01-carat natural fancy vivid blue emerald-cut diamond; a Yoko London necklace from its Kaleidoscope Collection, with 4-7.5 mm freshwater pearls, 2.87 carats diamonds, 4.21 carats pink sapphires, 2.85 carats blue sapphires, and 1.22 g mother of pearl, with matching earrings; and the 7.12-carat Nsouli Royal Collection diamond necklace. “With inspiring, fast-paced development and a booming economy, Saudi Arabia is quickly becoming one of the most important markets in the Middle East, especially in terms of the luxury landscape. The rare gemstones and unique pieces on display are some of the finest in the world, and we have no doubt that visitors will be wowed,” said Ibrahim Al-Zeer, CEO of Saudi International Luxury Week. On behalf of Moussaieff, one of the world’s most discreet and exclusive high jewelry emporiums, Leslie Kegg said: “We are very thrilled to participate in the Jeddah International Luxury Week and display our latest white diamonds and colored gemstones.” On display at the exhibition is a diamond necklace from Moussaieff worth $3 million. Commenting on the participation of Scavia, the Italian high jewelry house, Fulvio Maria Scavia, jeweler and president of Scavia, and his son Alessandro told Arab News that Scavia has actively participated in various events held in Saudi Arabia and is looking forward to showcasing its exceptional pieces, designed by father and son. Fulvio, who learned jewelry-making from his grandfather, said: “We create pieces that look nothing like any other designs and only represent the brand’s originality using high-quality materials.” The exhibition will move to Riyadh next week.
