RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s team in Port Sudan met with the president of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society Dr. Khalil Sarbel on Monday. Ways to provide urgent aid from the Kingdom to areas affected by the conflict in Sudan were discussed during the meeting. Sarbel thanked the Saudi government for its continuous support to Sudan and said the recent royal directive to provide $100 million worth of aid to the Sudanese people and the organization of a charity campaign through the Sahem platform is considered one of the largest sources of aid provided by foreign countries. Several flights carrying 10 tons of relief each have landed at Port Sudan International Airport in the last week.
