Al-Asheikh expressed his appreciation for the appointment in a post on Twitter. During the meeting, a deputy president, vice presidents, board members and a general secretary were also appointed. The Afro-Asian Chess Association was established in 2010, with headquarters in Cairo, and includes all the member states of the two continents.
