RIYADH: The Saudi-Thai Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shoura Council, led by Osama bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, met virtually with the Thai-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Thai Senate, headed by Brian Guntung. During the meeting, Al-Rabiah emphasized the importance of such gatherings in enhancing collaborative parliamentary efforts between the council and the Thai Senate, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday. They discussed strategies to improve work and bilateral cooperation in terms of parliamentary relations, as well as strengthening the role of parliamentary friendship committees to support cooperation and joint endeavors between the two nations. Several topics of mutual interest were also addressed. Parliamentary friendship committees aim to strengthen bonds of friendship with brotherly and friendly nations, while striving to achieve optimal coordination and cooperation in parliamentary forums on regional and international levels.
