Hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, the competition began on May 11. Egypt’s Hassan Hussein netted a brace while his teammates Ismail Abdel Quddous and Haitham Mahsoub scored one goal each. Yahya Al-Muraiki and Khaled Al-Araimi scored for the Oman national team.
