Saudi anti-drug officers thwarted on Wednesday an attempt to distribute 4,094,950 pills that fall under regulated drugs, and arrested six dealers in Riyadh, the official spokesman of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) has said. The six suspects included three Egyptian nationals, a Sudanese national, a Yemeni national, and a Saudi citizen. They were apprehended and initial legal procedures were taken to refer them to Public Prosecution. Security agencies urged the public to report any information available regarding drug trafficking or drug promotion by calling 911 in the Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions and 999 in the other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control via 995 and 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality. — SPA
