The Architecture and Design Commission inaugurated the Saudi pavilion at the 4th edition of the “London Design Biennale” held at “Somerset House” in London. The ceremony, held under the theme “Remapping Collaboration,” was attended by the CEO of the Commission, Dr. Sumaya Al-Sulaiman, as well as several officials from the British government and other countries. The Saudi pavilion at the biennale showcases an artwork titled “Mansooj” or “Woven,” created in collaboration with the curator and designer Ruba Al-Khaldi, an expert in innovation and strategic design, and the curator and designer Lojain Rafaa, known for her work with organic and modern materials. The “Mansooj” artwork provides visitors with an interactive and creative experience, where their visions of the future come together to shape the fabric of humanity. This tapestry emulates the traditional craft of Sadu art, with each visitor participating in the braiding of the thread, drawing inspiration from their own ideas, uniqueness, and aspirations for the future. As the threads intertwine in perfect harmony, a distinct and captivating design is formed. — SPA
