Dr. Marwa El Daly: Waqfeyat Misr supports initiatives that are in line with empowering communities in Egypt   Activating serious dialogue on decision-making and promoting a more inclusive future   A platform for experts, professionals, and students to explore innovative ways to face challenges     Cairo 9 of August 2023       Waqfeyat Misr Foundation participated in the second annual conference on corporate social responsibility ”CSR” “issues of sustainability, wakf and entrepreneurship”, which was organized in cooperation between the Foundation and the Department of Public Policy and Administration at the American University in Cairo and with the participation of university students.   Dr. Marwa El Daly, founder and chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Waqfeyat Misr Foundation, said that the second annual conference on corporate social responsibility 2023 focused on the importance of corporate social responsibility in advancing sustainable development and empowering the younger generation to be agents of change.   She explained that the conference provided a platform for experts, professionals and students interested in corporate social responsibility and sustainability to communicate and exchange ideas and participants also had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and explore innovative ways to meet development challenges.   She added that the conference stressed the importance of cooperation and participation between students, professionals, businessmen, academics, and government officials in order to strengthen the student-led development community, which contributes to enabling youth to effectively contribute to influential development initiatives.   She indicated that the role of corporate social responsibility contributions in creating lasting positive impacts on society and finding innovative mechanisms and methods to face societal challenges and promote sustainable development was emphasized, stressing that one of the most prominent positive aspects that came out of the conference was the serious dialogue on decision-making and the promotion of a more inclusive future.   El Daly stressed the support of the Waqfeyat Misr Foundation for corporate social responsibility ” CSR ”, pointing to the successful cooperation with the American University in Cairo “AUC “ in this file and the need to inspire students and provide them with the knowledge and tools necessary to bring about positive change and contribute to sustainable development in Egypt., adding that the Waqfeyat Misr Foundation will remain committed to supporting initiatives that are aligned with its mission of empowering and promoting communities and sustainable development in Egypt and nurturing a culture of responsible business practices and social responsibility.   She said that the vision of Waqfeyat Misr Foundation aims to support the endowment model as a catalyst for sustainable development, empowering societies, and promoting social and economic progress. One of the main outputs of the endowment is the establishment of innovative endowment funds in cooperation with ministries, universities, hospitals, and philanthropists in all aspects of development work.   Waqfeyat Misr Foundation It was launched in 2023 after its transformation from Waqfeyat ElMaadi, which was established in May 2007 with the aim of developing Maadi and its surrounding areas by reviving the concept of endowment by providing sustainable solutions to problems facing society.
