The first ambassador appointed by Saudi Arabia to Palestine, Naif Bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, presented on Saturday his letter of credentials to the Palestinian authorities. Ambassador Al-Sudairi delivered the letter of credentials to Majdi Al-Khalidi, advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas for diplomatic affairs, at the Palestinian Embassy in Jordan. The original credentials will be handed over to the Palestinian president soon. Al-Sudairi will serve as the non-resident ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Palestine and consul general in Jerusalem. Al-Sudairi said: “This is an important step with significant implications for the commitment of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince in enhancing relations with our brethren in Palestine.” “This step will have positive outcomes that will benefit the Palestinians, in terms of organizing and giving an official boost to relations across political, economic, and social domains. “We look forward to a promising future for this relationship to make it even better,” he added. Al-Khalidi said this step would contribute to strengthening the bonds between the two brotherly peoples and countries. Al-Sudairi also serves as the Saudi ambassador to Amman.
