RIYADH: King Salman sent a message to the prime minister of Madagascar regarding relations between the Kingdom and the African country, Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday. The message for Christian Ntsay was conveyed by Royal Court advisor Ahmed Qattan during a reception in the Malagasy capital Antananarivo. During the reception, the two reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed ways of enhancing and developing them. Qattan also conveyed the good wishes of the king and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the president and the people of Madagascar. Ntsay passed on his and President Andry Rajoelina’s good wishes to King Salman and the crown prince and affirmed Madagascar’s full support for the Saudi bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh. Antananarivo announced its backing in May 2022. The prime minister also welcomed the first Saudi-African summit and fifth Arab-African summit, which are being held in the Kingdom this year. Qattan thanked Ntsay and the Malagasy government on behalf of the Saudi government for this support.
