The Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Market platform has witnessed a surge of activity in its first week of operation, with nearly 61 million square meters of real estate traded across all Saudi regions. The platform recorded 17,000 transactions worth more than SR17 billion, and attracted over 500,000 users. The platform, which is available 24/7 at srem.moj.gov.sa, offers various services to its clients, such as buying and selling real property, subdividing and merging property using the real estate identity, obtaining mortgage-related services, and digitizing property title deeds online. One of the features of the platform is that digitized title deeds are automatically listed among the “available properties” for sale. Moreover, clients can check their own properties by logging into the “Real estate inquiries” service and selecting “Owned properties.” The platform also provides a number of daily indicators for the value of transactions in Saudi cities and districts. The transactions can be displayed by hour, day, week, month, year, or the full historical period since the digital registration of properties. — SPA
