The Saudi Arabian U-23 national football team clinched their place in the 2024 Asian Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar, following a resounding victory over Cambodia with a score of 6-1 in the final round of qualifiers in Group 10. The match took place at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Stadium in Abha. The Saudi team overcame an early deficit, falling behind by one goal, to achieve a commanding 6-1 victory over Cambodia. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi played a pivotal role, scoring both the equalizer and the go-ahead goal. Abdullah Radif added the third goal for the Saudi team, followed by Musab Al-Juwayr, who found the net before the first half ended. The Saudi U-23 team, under the leadership of national coach Saad Al-Shehri, continued their goal-scoring spree in the second half. Abdullah Radif secured his brace by scoring the fifth goal, and Mohammed Abu Al-Shammat added the sixth goal to seal the victory. The Saudi U-23 team is defending their title after winning the previous edition of the Asian Cup. They have now secured their place in the prestigious tournament, which will take place in Doha.
