The women"s football team of Al-Ittihad Club has announced the signing of Moroccan international player Salma Amani, who previously played for the French women"s team Metz. This move aims to bolster the team"s lineup for the upcoming season of the Saudi Women"s Football League. Al-Ittihad succeeded in securing the services of Salma Amani, who began her sporting career representing the French youth national team before choosing to play for the senior Moroccan women"s national team. She recently participated in the Women"s World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. Salma"s journey in football started at the age of five when she joined her twin brother, Salam, in France. Her grandfather enrolled her in a football school, and she played with children until the age of fourteen. Afterward, she joined the renowned elite training center Clairefontaine for three years. Subsequently, she moved on to play for various clubs, including Dijon, Guingamp, and Fleury, before recently joining Metz in France before her move to Saudi Arabia. Salma"s military inclinations led her to serve in the French military, specifically in the French army, alongside her football pursuits. She was selected to represent the French military team in the Rio de Janeiro 2011 Military World Games. Salma Amani faced a challenging balance between her official military duties and her passion for football. She previously remarked: "Due to my military job, I sought to balance between the game and my professional duties. I love my job, but over the years, it became challenging to juggle both professions, and I had to choose a field to focus on. I chose football and became a professional player." Amani is known for her physical strength, football intelligence, and her ability to read the game, which has helped her secure her position in midfield during her football journey while representing both the French and Moroccan national teams.
