The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) is set to actively participate in the upcoming "Sindh Shield 2023" military exercise hosted by Pakistan. Major General Pilot Talal Al-Ghamdi, Deputy Commander of the RSAF, saw off the participating group as they departed from King Khalid Air Base. In a thorough inspection, Major General Al-Ghamdi assessed the readiness of personnel, reviewed the equipment, and ensured that all preparations and arrangements were in order. He urged the participants to dedicate their efforts, making the most of the exercise to enhance their combat capabilities while emphasizing the paramount importance of safety in execution. Scheduled to kick off later this week and spanning nearly a month, the exercise focuses on training in aerial combat operations within an international coalition. It aims to apply the concept of joint operations in an environment closely simulating real warfare scenarios. Beyond honing combat skills, "Sindh Shield 2023" facilitates the exchange of military expertise in planning and execution with friendly nations participating in the exercise. The collaborative effort seeks to enhance the readiness and combat efficiency of aircrews and supporting technical teams. Moreover, it serves as a platform to strengthen international relations among the participating countries. Representing the Kingdom, the RSAF will engage alongside the host nation, Pakistan, and Turkiye in this significant military exercise.
