The Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Tuesday in Riyadh, went over the content of the talks held over the phone by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman and the president of Palestine, the king of Jordan, and the president of Egypt. During the talks the Crown Prince stressed that the Kingdom continues to exert efforts and to engage with international and regional parties to halt the ongoing escalation and prevent it from spreading in the region, and that it stands by the Palestinian people in the pursuit of their legitimate rights, attaining aspirations, and achieving a just and lasting peace. The Cabinet was briefed on the content of the recent talks the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince held with the leaders of several countries concerning ties with these countries and ways to strengthen them. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of Media Salman Bin Yousef Al-Dosari said that the Cabinet reviewed the outcome of the Kingdom’s participation in several regional and international meetings, as per the state"s keenness to continue strengthening communication with countries of the region and the world, and to coordinate action to achieve growth and prosperity. The Cabinet discussed the outcome of the OPEC Plus meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, reiterating the Kingdom’s support for the efforts aimed at stabilizing and balancing oil markets, and accelerating the growth rates of the global economy. The Cabinet welcomed the countries and international organizations participating in the MENA Climate Week 2023, being hosted by the Kingdom, which is exerting efforts to protect the environment, reduce carbon emissions, increase the use of renewable energy sources, and achieve sustainable development. The Cabinet congratulated the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on opening its Nuclear Security Training and Demonstration Centre (NSTDC) in Seibersdorf, Austria, which the Kingdom proposed and funded as part of its efforts to strengthen international nuclear security and combat nuclear terrorism. The Cabinet commended the Kingdom"s achievements reflected in a number of international indicators, including its ranking second globally in the number of tourist arrivals, as well as its progress in the Liner Shipping Connectivity Index (LSCI), as outlined in a recent report from the UN Conference on Trade and Development. The Cabinet said it considers the directives issued to increase the minimum when calculating pensions for those entitled to social security and to extend the additional support to beneficiaries of the Citizen Account Program for three more months as testimony of the state’s interest in and keenness to help citizens improve their livelihood. The Cabinet authorized the minister of human resources and social development to discuss with the Kuwaiti side two draft MoUs for cooperation in the field of civil service, administrative development, and social affairs and development. It authorized the minister of economy and planning to discuss with the Indian and Comorian sides draft MoUs for economic cooperation between the Ministry and the Ministry of Finance of India and the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment of the Comoros. The Cabinet authorized the minister of transport and logistic services, chairman of the Transport General Authority to discuss with the minister of transport of Argentina a draft MoU concerning road transport. It authorized the minister of economy and planning, chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Statistics to discuss with the Bahraini side a draft MoU for cooperation in the field of statistics between the General Authority for Statistics of Saudi Arabia and the Information and eGovernment Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain.— SPA
