ROME: The Italian interior minister said on Tuesday it was "essential" for the European Union to support Tunisia to stem flows of irregular migrants from northern Africa. "I believe that it is in the interest of all parties to swiftly implement the contents of the deal between the EU and Tunisia" signed in July, Matteo Piantedosi told parliament.
