RIYADH: The fifth International Conference for Mass Gatherings Medicine, organized by the Global Center for Mass Gatherings Medicine in cooperation with the World Health Organization, recently concluded in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday. Held under the theme “Legacy in Global Health Security,” the conference saw the participation of several local and international experts in mass gatherings medicine. Throughout the duration of the three-day conference, more than 18 sessions on research relevant to the field were held, featuring the participation of over 120 speakers from 30 countries. The sessions focused on key topics such as health security, global progress, governance, planning, capacity building, and evaluation. Furthermore, 14 sub-sessions saw discussions on logistics, operations, research, development, and innovation. The conference also featured an exhibition in which a number of international health authorities participated, offering educational services to attendees.
