Jeddah governor reviews preparations for hosting FIFA Club World Cup 2023

Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi chaired a meeting on Thursday to review the city"s plan for hosting the FIFA Club World Cup 2023. The meeting was attended by directors of relevant government entities. The governor was briefed on the preparations and hosting plans for the FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah, scheduled to take place in December. Seven teams will participate, including Saudi Arabia"s Al-Ittihad, England"s Manchester City, Japan"s Urawa, Egypt"s Al-Ahly, Mexico"s Leon, Brazil"s Fluminense, and New Zealand"s Auckland City. Prince Saud bin Abdullah emphasized the importance of coordination among relevant authorities, noting that Jeddah possesses all the essential elements, including advanced facilities and infrastructure, enabling it to host major sporting events. This is in line with the unlimited support that the sports sector receives from the leadership, in line with the Kingdom"s Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia is hosting the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time and has prepared an intensive plan to create a unique fan experience.
