Paul McCallum’s stoppage-time strike enabled Eastleigh to pull off a Cup upset as they beat Reading 2-1 in the second round. The National League side took the lead against the League One strugglers through McCallum but Femi Azeez drew Reading level in the 84th minute. The game looked set for a replay before McCallum struck deep into added time to fire his side into the third round, where they will meet either Newport or fellow non-league side Barnet. An own goal from Brandon Cooper was enough for the National League leaders Chesterfield to beat Leyton Orient 1-0 and they will meet Watford in January. Josh Stokes’s equaliser earned a replay for Aldershot at Edgeley Park as they drew 2-2 with Stockport. The winger fired the Shots into the lead just 10 minutes in, but Neill Byrne equalised for the League Two leaders minutes later and they took the lead through Paddy Madden straight after the break. Stokes struck again in the 67th minute to secure the replay, where a game at West Brom is at stake in the third round. Wrexham booked their spot in the next round with a comfortable 3-0 win against Yeovil. Ollie Palmer gave them the lead before Andy Cannon doubled it just before half-time and Sam Dalby capped off the evening with a stoppage-time strike.
