The Columbus Crew are MLS champions after beating Los Angeles FC 2-1 in the MLS Cup final on Saturday at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio. The Crew raced to a 2-0 lead in the first halp on a Cucho Hernandez penalty followed by a Yah Yeboah goal in a six-minute span. LAFC pulled one back through Denis Bouanga in the 74th minute but could not manage another before the final whistle. The title is Columbus’s third overall and second in four years. Their previous MLS Cup wins came in 2018 and 2020.
