DUBAI: Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein on Friday attended the launch of a Jordanian exhibition at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle The princess, who is from Saudi Arabia, wore a chic suit from Uruguay-born designer Gabriela Hearst’s New York-based label. She opted for a Stephanie double-breasted wool, silk and linen-blend blazer in pink and matching Vesta straight-leg pants. The princess accessorized with a Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU petite pink padded leather purse. The royals toured the exhibition, which contributes to promoting tourism in Jordan and enhancing the tourism exchange between Jordan and Singapore, and the crown prince took part in planting the first Jordanian olive tree in the gardens. Jordan’s crown prince and princess arrived in Singapore on Thursday, and Princess Rajwa’s fashion flair has been capturing attention and turning heads. During the two-day trip at the invitation of Singapore’s prime minister, the crown prince was scheduled to hold meetings with the city state’s top officials, including the PM, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, and National Security Coordinating Minister Teo Chee Hean, Singapore’s ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement. On Thursday, the pair attended the Jordan-Singapore Tech Alliance Forum. The princess showed off a floral dress by British label Karen Millen, created in collaboration with social media influencer Lydia Millen. The princess paired the summer-ready look with a Jaquemus bag featuring woven cane details. The couple’s second appearance together was on Friday, when they met Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife Ho Ching. To that, Princess Rajwa wore a white gown by London-based designer Roksanda Ilincic. The dress was clinched at the waist with a gold belt. She completed the look with Gianvito Rossi “Ascent 85” gold slingback pumps and a matching Bottega Veneta clutch. This is not the first time Rajwa has championed Ilincic, the Serbian-born designer. Princess Rajwa wore a canary-yellow crepe ensemble called the Neolitsea Dress designed by the couturier at Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Jameel Alexander Thermiotis’s wedding ceremony in Amman’s Beit Al-Urdon Palace in March. In a previous interview with Arab News, Ilincic said that “it was an absolute joy and such a privilege” to see the princess wear her designs. “I love the dress for its cape and the drama happening at the back.”
