RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s culture and education ministries launched their second “Cultural Skills” competition for public schools in the Kingdom on Wednesday. Aligned with Vision 2030, the competition seeks to enhance students’ cultural and artistic abilities, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The competition comprises 10 categories: drawing, Arabic calligraphy, films, photography, playing instruments, singing, short stories, Manga, poetry, and theater. Prizes on offer total SR9 million ($2.4 million). In each category and grade, SR100,000 will be awarded to the winner, SR75,000 for second, and SR50,000 for third. The competition aims to encourage students to preserve the Kingdom’s cultural heritage. There will be 100 experts on the panel of judges.
