Pakistan has recalled its ambassador from Tehran after Iran launched airstrikes on Pakistani territory, apparently aimed at a Sunni militant group. Two children were killed and three others were injured in what Pakistan"s foreign ministry called an "illegal" airstrike. "Pakistan reserves the right to respond to this illegal act. The responsibility for the consequences will lie squarely with Iran," the spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement read out on the state-owned broadcaster PTV.
