The racing challenge features 5km and 10km races, along with a 1.6km course for children 6 to 12 JEDDAH: The obstacle course racing challenge Tough Mudder returns to Jeddah on Friday for the second of four events taking place in the Kingdom this year. The 2024 edition of the event will include a 10 km race open to those aged 14 and over, featuring more than 20 obstacles, alongside a 5 km race for those over 13, which includes multiple challenges. Tough Mudder Kids, open to children aged 6 to 12, features a newly designed 1.6-km obstacle mud run, while women-only heats will be run for both the 5 km and 10 km courses. Participants can also look forward to signature obstacles including the ice-based Artic Enema which is set to provide an extra dose of adrenaline. At the Mudder Village, athletes and their families can enjoy live music and a selection of food. The next event is in Dammam at Alkhobar Lakes, which is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2. Tough Mudder Infinity AlUla, an eight-hour endurance race which is the first of its kind in the region, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, with prizes worth $480,000, the biggest in the sport’s history.
