Liverpool have announced the club will be featured in a TV documentary series, with behind-the-scenes footage capturing the final months of Jürgen Klopp’s reign as manager. Filming is under way for the multi-episode series and will be shown after the end of this season. The Premier League leaders are fighting on four trophy fronts, with Liverpool having reached the final of the Carabao Cup, the fifth round of the FA Cup and the knockout stages of the Europa League. It has not been confirmed yet on what platform the series will be aired. Klopp, who announced last Friday his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, said: “With this being my final season, I thought we should provide a rare opportunity for viewers to have more of an inside look at what makes this club so special – its people. From our fans to our players and those who work so hard behind the scenes, constantly in pursuit of success for Liverpool Football Club. “Thanks to this new documentary series, viewers will be able to see what I see every day at this great club and understand those amazing people more.” Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham are among the clubs who have previously allowed cameras in for TV documentary purposes. Film crews have also been given previous access to behind the scenes at Anfield – Being: Liverpool was a six-part documentary that followed Brendan Rodgers’s Liverpool team during the 2012-13 season. Drew Crisp, senior vice-president of digital at Liverpool, said: “This exciting new multi-episodic documentary will be unique and show the real authentic side of the club. It will not only delve into its rich history and its unrivalled connection with its supporters but will also explore what makes Liverpool Football Club succeed, on and off the pitch. “We’re delighted to have the full backing of Jürgen and everyone across the club. This will be a football club documentary series like no other.”
