DUBAI: British actress Lashana Lynch turned heads at the premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in London, donning a gown by Lebanese label Maison Rabih Kayrouz. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle The “No Time to Die” star chose an emerald green dress with a daring plunging neckline and puffed sleeves — a piece selected from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2019 haute couture collection. The gown, with a thigh-high slit, boasted a touch of glamour with intricate golden threads woven into its fabric. She completed her look with glitzy jewelry from Bulgari. Lynch, who portrays the character of Bob Marley’s wife Rita, posed on the red carpet alongside her co-stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, who pays the role of Bob Marley, and James Norton, cast as former record producer Chris Blackwell. The biographical musical drama chronicles the life of the iconic reggae singer and songwriter, spanning from his meteoric rise to fame to his death in 1981. It is helmed by US director Reinaldo Marcus Green from a screenplay by Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers and Terence Winter. The film is scheduled for release in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 22. A trailer, unveiled in December, offered audiences a sneak peek of what to anticipate. It provided glimpses of the 1976 shooting incident at the star’s home and his subsequent performance at a Jamaican peace concert. The teaser also featured scenes of Marley unwinding with his family and sharing musical moments with them. Meanwhile, this is not the first time Lynch has championed Kayrouz’s designs. In 2023, she wore a voluminous royal blue halter neck gown from the couturier’s Fall 2022 haute couture collection to the Glamour Women of The Year Awards. Known for its impeccable craftsmanship and innovative designs, the fashion house – founded by Rabih Kayrouz in 1999 – specializes in creating elegant and contemporary pieces that often blend modern aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Kayrouz’s designs feature clean lines, architectural silhouettes and a keen attention to detail. His gowns have previously been worn by A-list celebrities including Katy Perry, Celine Dion, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kathryn Hahn, Emma Brooks, Emily Carey and more.
