DUBAI: Fashion houses have kicked off the year by presenting their Spring/Summer 2024 collections, and the most recent to unveil its campaign is Italian luxury house Bottega Veneta, featuring a surprise appearance by Imaan Hammam. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle This week, the Moroccan Egyptian Dutch model took to Instagram to share images of her shoot with the brand. In one of the pictures, Hammam donned a one-shouldered printed dress featuring vibrant hues of red, yellow, black and subtle hints of grey — a lively theme ideal for the upcoming summer season. She was also photographed in a well-fitted, oversized brown suit. In her last picture, Hammam wore an outfit she donned on the brand’s runway during Milan Fashion Week in September. She posed in a relaxed denim fit with a chunky overcoat and a large intreccatio bag slung over a shoulder. The campaign was shot by US photographer Alec Soth and starred models Walid Fiher from Morocco, Lara Menezes from Brazil, Penelope Ternes from France, Awar Odhiang from Canada and Milan-based Kris Wardak. Hammam’s celebrity friends, including part-Middle Eastern US actress Yara Shahidi and Romanian Jordanian footwear designer Amina Muaddi, took to the comments to congratulate the model on her new campaign. The 27-year-old model started this year on a strong note. She graced multiple runways at Paris Fashion Week last month including French labels Ami Paris and Louis Vuitton. Hammam marched out of giant double doors in a long grey trench coat with a turtle neck and gold buttons for the Ami Paris show. The coat was clinched at the waist with a matching grey belt. For the star-studded Louis Vuitton show, Hammam dazzled in a chic ensemble, donning a crisp white button-down shirt adorned with subtle prints, and combined with a knee-length velvet pleated skirt, layered over matching straight-leg pants. Hammam is one of the most in-demand models in the industry. She has appeared on the runway for major fashion houses such as Burberry, Fendi, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Balenciaga and Carolina Herrera, and starred in international campaigns for DKNY, Celine, Chanel, Versace, Givenchy, Giorgio Armani and Tiffany & Co.
