DUBAI: Saudi unscripted docu-series “Camel Quest” is coming to Netflix, with the release date yet to be announced. Leaving behind their careers in hospitality and start-up investments, the pair dive into the realm of camels, with each episode celebrating the integral role of camels in the Kingdom’s cultural heritage. Netflix has billed the series as a “blend of humor, friendship, and cultural exploration.” The six-episode series coincides with the Saudi Ministry of Culture’s declaration of 2024 as the “Year of the Camel,” showcasing the enduring significance of these animals through events, exhibitions, educational programs and activities organized nationwide. “The Saudi cinema sector is full of promising investment opportunities and the Saudi camel has attributes that will appeal to the whole world, contributing to making our beloved Kingdom among the best countries of the world,” Modir said in a released statement. “‘Camel Quest’ is all about our bonds with the cherished camels.
