The President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, and the President of the French National Olympic Committee (CNOSF), David Lappartient, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday in Riyadh. This agreement aims to bolster bilateral relations and enhance sports and Olympic collaboration between the two committees. It also seeks to facilitate the exchange of expertise and sports knowledge, aiding in the administrative and technical advancement of both entities. This MoU represents the first agreement of its kind between the SOPC and the CNOSF and is the eighth such agreement in the history of the French committee. The significance of this MoU is further amplified by France"s role as the host of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, providing an opportunity for the Saudi team to gain insights into the organization of these large-scale sports events while in Paris. Lappartient expressed enthusiasm about the MoU with the SOPC, viewing it as a prime opportunity to initiate joint projects, foster greater societal integration through sports, and strengthen the ties between the two committees. Before the signing ceremony, Lappartient attended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival, where he praised the exceptional organization of the event.
