Saudi Media Forum awards highlight innovation and excellence in journalism

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Okaz newspaper Abdullah Obian has bagged the journalistic interview award in the journalism track, while Turki Al-Dakhil from Okaz has won in the journalistic article track. These were among the awards presented at the third edition of the Saudi Media Forum, attended by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosary, with widespread participation from journalists from within and outside the Kingdom. The forum"s activities concluded on Thursday in Riyadh. The awards ceremony also recognized achievements in various categories. Ghazi Al-Harthy from Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper won the award for journalistic reporting, Samer Atallah for the journalistic column, Arabic Talk Company for short films in the visual production track, and the Broadcasting and Television Authority for visual programs. The podcast award went to Mics Podcast, while the digital media track"s best digital platform in the media field was awarded to Shahid platform. Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper won the digital arts track in the media field, and the Ministry of Justice was recognized for the best social media platforms. In the innovation and entrepreneurship track, the launch plan of the new Tawakkalna identity by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) won the innovation in corporate communication category. The governmental communication project Mediathon won for entrepreneurial projects in the media field, and the King Abdulaziz Darat"s "Antami" program won for media innovation in the nonprofit sector. Former Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz Muhyiddin Khoja was honored as Media Personality of the Year. The third edition of the forum, themed "Media in a Shaping World," featured over 60 sessions and specialized workshops presented by approximately 150 speakers, including ministers, officials, experts, and specialists from local and international backgrounds. They discussed the latest developments in media work across various formats. Additionally, the second edition of the Future of Media Exhibition "Fomex," the largest media-focused exhibition in the Middle East, featured participation from over 200 local and international companies.
