Saudi defense minister discusses with Yemen’s prime minister UN road map for peace

JEDDAH — Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman met with Yemen’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak in Jeddah on Thursday. During the meeting, they reviewed the recent developments on the Yemeni file and the efforts being made to implement the road map, sponsored by the United Nations. They discussed the ongoing efforts to support the progress of the political process between the Yemeni parties and the peace path to achieve security and stability in Yemen. On his part, Prince Khalid conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to Yemen and their wishes for peace and prosperity for Yemen and its people. The Yemeni leader conveyed his country’s greetings and appreciation to King Salman and the Crown Prince. During the meeting, the defense minister affirmed the Kingdom’s firm position in supporting the government and the people of Yemen, in a way that meets their aspirations and contributes to the development and prosperity of the neighboring country. The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al-Jaber, Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, Director of the Office of the Yemeni Prime Minister Anees Ba-Haritha, and Advisor to the Prime Minister Ambassador Mujib Othman.
