DUBAI: US Dutch Palestinian model Gigi Hadid took to Instagram this week to unveil her latest bag campaign, exuding a 1930s style, with Italian luxury fashion house Miu Miu. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle The campaign showcases the Wander and Arcadie bags in their signature matelasse design, with Hadid modeling alongside the handbags available in shades of brown, orange and yellow. In one shot, she donned a beige form-fitting halter-neck dress with a plunging back, while in another, she appeared in a button-down beige top paired with an ash brown skirt. She further showcased her style in a vibrant orange top paired with black trousers, gray socks, and brown loafers. Adding a touch of summery elegance to the shoot, she also wore a floral halter-neck dress featuring shades of grey, white, and orange. Her final two ensembles consisted of a sleek black set and a blue collared dress. Throughout all the shots, her hair was styled in a bob. Captured by Steven Meisel, the photographs draw inspiration from the innovative style of late British photographer Yevonde Middleton, renowned for employing soft colors and incorporating drapery and foliage in her portraits. This is not Hadid’s debut collaboration with the brand. She graced the brand’s runway during Paris Fashion Week just last month. She wore a white collared knee-length dress featuring a slit down the middle. The ensemble also featured a luxurious brown fur coat, complemented by a sleek leather purse and stylish pointy-toed leather shoes. Hadid was joined by French Algerian model Loli Bahia on the runway. Bahia rocked a double-breasted gray coat paired with navy blue stockings, black leather gloves, classic black loafers, stylish red sunglasses and a sleek black purse. The collection Miu Miu displayed took a playful jab at the transition from childhood to adulthood. Miuccia Prada’s tongue-in-cheek little sister brand once again addressed profound themes through the lens of frivolity. Cropped sleeves, rounded-toe shoes and pajamas with outerwear amid exaggeratedly shrunken proportions evoked the Tom Hanks movie “Big.” Adulthood was depicted in gloves and handbags, brooches and sharp tailoring.
