People were rescued on Tuesday while crossing the Channel and brought to Dover, hours after the UK approved its Rwanda deportation bill. Footage by Sky News showed a UK Border Force vessel approaching a small, crowded boat to rescue people onboard. Those saved were later seen disembarking from the rescue boat in Dover and walking to a facility. Meanwhile, French authorities said five people, including a child, died in an attempt to cross the Channel in a small boat near the town of Wimereux, south of Calais.
