Luis Palma scored a late winner as the champions Celtic twice fought back from a goal behind to complete another successful Premiership campaign with a 3-2 victory over St Mirren on trophy presentation day at Celtic Park. The St Mirren captain, Mark O’Hara, twice gave the visitors the lead but goals from Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi had Celtic level at the half-time interval. The second half was less action-packed in comparison but Palma met Anthony Ralston’s cross from close range in the 86th minute to give the home fans more delight before the presentation of the silverware. Captain Callum McGregor, celebrating his ninth title triumph with Celtic, said: “Another difficult season. There’s going to be bumps in the road. I’ve always said the team that deals with disappointment the best will be the team that ultimately goes on to win the league. “In the last seven, eight, nine weeks the quality that we showed to took it over the line.” Kyosuke Tagawa’s dramatic late strike rescued a 3-3 draw for Hearts against Rangers, the runners-up, at Tynecastle. Lawrence Shankland clipped in his 31st goal of the season for the third-placed home side in the 33rd minute before the Rangers winger Ross McCausland levelled in the 52nd minute, with Todd Cantwell finishing in a similar style in the 69th minute for the away side. Substitute Fabio Silva drilled in a third goal with 11 minutes remaining but a volley from the Hearts’ substitute Dexter Lembikisa’s in the 82nd minute reduced the deficit to 3-2. Rangers’ Kieran Dowell struck a post with a drive but Tagawa, another Hearts substitute, levelled in the last of five added minutes, leaving Philippe Clement with more questions than answers for next Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Celtic at Hampden Park. Dundee and Kilmarnock signed off on their impressive league campaigns with a 1-1 draw at Dens Park as former colleagues Tony Docherty and Derek McInnes shared the spoils for the fourth consecutive time, with each of their three previous encounters ending 2-2 The Dundee captain, Luke McCowan, cancelled out the opening goal from Gary Mackay-Steven, who marked his first start for Killie since joining in December by scoring his first career goal in two and a half years. McCowan passed-up the opportunity to win the contest for the hosts with a late penalty miss not long after Kilmarnock’s Robbie Deas had been sent off.
