As the UK faces a momentous general election, which polls suggest could see the end of 14 years of Conservative party rule, the video team wants to hear from people who have a story to tell about their community. As video producers, we have spent the past four years working with community-based reporters across the UK to highlight the reality of what is happening in their areas, unearthing unique perspectives from people who are often overlooked in the story of modern Britain. We have worked with teams who have documented their struggles with the DWP, with people navigating the asylum system, those exposing terrible housing conditions on TikTok and others keeping their communities fed and warm through the cost of living crisis. Is there a burning issue that you’d like to see covered in the run-up to the election? Is there an individual who is holding things together in your community you think we should profile? Do you have a perspective on living through austerity? Or do you know of a community-reporting team we should reach out to? We want to hear from people in towns, cities, rural areas and coastal communities across the country. You can get in touch with using the form below. Please share your story if you are 18 or over, anonymously if you wish. For more information please see our terms of service and privacy policy.
