Saudi Arabia has been announced as the host for the 11th World Water Forum in 2027. The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the forum"s 10th session in Indonesia, attended by heads of states, ministers, and officials from 160 countries, along with various international organizations. The upcoming forum, themed "Action for a Better Future," aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to lead in solving global water issues. It reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting regional and international water initiatives and its pursuit of sustainable development goals as outlined in Vision 2030. Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, expressed gratitude towards the Saudi leadership for their continuous support of the water sector, which has significantly enhanced water and sanitation services throughout the supply chain. He emphasized that this backing has been instrumental in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s international standing in the water domain, culminating in the privilege to host this significant global event. In a related development, the Crown Prince recently announced the establishment of the World Water Organization, based in Riyadh. This new entity aims to garner international support and foster collaboration with global organizations to address water challenges from a worldwide perspective.
